- When you first take a screen shot with Alt-PrintScreen the computer stores the picture in memory temporarily. If you copy something else afterward the picture will be replaced. From there you want to paste it into a graphics program like Microsoft Paint (in the accessories folder of your system menu) by opening Paint and picking the Edit menu and the Paste option.
Now it should be showing the picture in your paint program. The pick File-SaveAs from the menu and choose a place to save your picture. You'll want to save it as a JPEG or .jpg file to keep it sort of small.
When picking where to save it... you probably want to put it in your My Documents folder in My Pictures and if you want to be even more organized you could make a folder inside My Pictures for Wizard Screenshots or something like that.
Let me know if you're still having any problems or issues and maybe I'll post a video showing the tricks that i use to do screen shots.
