How Wizards Stay Connected! *my.diaryofawizard.com*

My husband  and I have been playing Wizard since last October- what a great time it was to start. Hallowwen has always been my favorite time of year and my own kids can attest to how crazy Mom gets on All Hallows Eve and to be with so many people that enjoy it like I do was thrilling.Where as my husband has leveled up 6 wizards rapidly- I have only my fine Life wizard Esme and a storm noob I recently started (Also Esme but Stormcater). I so love the game I am on everyday- I just keep finding so much to do with my Life Wiz. Recently, I have been dishearted because I have had such a tough time finding adut women to play with like myself. I love the kids and I run with my husband alot but I was looking for female friendship in the game. Some women ( a few actually) that I have met start out so great- so much fun to play with- until they find a guy to run with them, then goodbye Esme- never hear from them again. It hurts my feelings. I know its just a game but I am still a real person behind this persona. My facebook friends think I am crazy at my age to be so happy to play this game but it interests and entertains me. I love the pets and mounts and quests and clothes  and gear and figuring out stats and gardening and crafting- its all just so cool.  My generation didnt even have video games, let along computer games or morpgs (Ok, I am not that old but if you were born before 1980- this is true of you too). Our Virtual was reality.Wizard101 is a great online community- family friendly and the game isnt so complicated I can not follow it. I just wish I could make some good women friends to play with. We would speak the same language and have similar experiences and could relate to each other. I do miss that in the game. Maybe I am not the typical player demographic- I can except that. It is just such a shame that I cant find more players like me. Don't get me wrong- I do love the diversity but fellow travelers like myself- Well, that would be AWESOME. If you hear me and can kinda relate and would like to make a friend in the spiral, look me up on Diary of a Wizard, #Twizards, or Facebook- I am a bit new to all of it. Or say Hello in the spiral. I still have many pets to farm and loads of stuff to craft and gold to spend- It would be fun to share the experience with some women friends.

"Oh the place I'll go-" (Dr. Seuss understands me, lol)

Come meet the Well-Versed Wizards, We are a group that helps our fellow wizards with quest, dungeons and bosses, We  try  to answer any questions some one may have about reagents, crafting etc. We can schedule a dungeon run should someone need to do a dungeon for a quest. We have members available to help with notice.
You can also visit our page on face book and join the group if you like. Hope to see you there.

I am also an adult female gamer and have played the game since Beta.  I am an avid Wizard101 supporter of the game and the Wizards who play the game.  I truly care about the Wizards and the KingsIsle staff.   I am not playing consistently, at this time, however, due to a series of one health problem after another.   I visit the twitter/facebook sites more often than playing the game, right now, because I don't have to concentrate as much.  I have TBI (traumatic brain injury) and PTSD.  I made it to Grandmaster but the new worlds are very difficult (too difficult) for me.  I also have problems getting lost in the game, even though there is a compass with an arrow.  Sometimes, I make a mistake and some players get awfully upset about that.  And, some days, the biggest problem manifests ... I unfortunately, don't remember my friends.  I see their names with a star on my friend list but I don't remember them.  If you see me, and we are friends, you have to say something like "Tara, it's me.  We last did the "x" quest together."   I feel so terribly bad about my limitations.  I have lately begun thinking it might be easier, emotionally, to just not play Wizard101.  Also, I was terribly disappointed in a friend that I played a long time with.  I gave up the game the day it happened in order to avoid the situation, which is where the PTSD kicks in (I avoid anything that makes me upset).  Months later, I realized that I had other friends in the game and I let them down.   I would like to be your friend, however, at this time, though, I am not able to play online much, as my TBI and PTSD are in a acute phase.   I see that Diana Wildheart and Deirdre Rosethorn posted a comment.  You will find these ladies to be wonderful ... and through them you will meet other wonderful Wizards.  Wishing you a magical journey on the Spiral!  P.S.: How fun it is that you and your husband play.

You and I should quest together or something sometime! I'm a woman, and beyond the targeted age group for this game. I love that this game is honestly for everyone though, and not just something that appeals to children...otherwise I wouldn't be here, hah! There are tons of women who love to game, though I haven't bumped into too many women in Wizard101 yet. Don't worry, we'll meet them!
