Christina's First Birthday = PRESENTS for Diary of a Wizard Connect X Members!

Greetings!

Tomorrow, February 12, 2010, is the one-year anniversary of the creation of Christina IceDreamer!

I'm holding a contest in MY honor!

Here are the rules:

1. To be eligible, you MUST be a member of Diary of Wizard ConnectX.
2. To enter, you MUST post a screen shot on YOUR WizPage of your wizard wishing me a happy birthday. It must include the words "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINA ICEDREAMER" but you can add something funny beyond that if you'd like. If you only post it on my page, that doesn't count. It must be on YOURS.
3. All screen shots must be posted by 11:59pm EASTERN TIME on Friday, February 12, 2010. Please take note: EASTERN TIME. If you live in any other time zone, you must do the math yourself. No exceptions.
4. I will pick the winners RANDOMLY.
5. NO WHINING ALLOWED. If you whine to me about extending the deadline, I will not accept any entries from you in this or any of my future personal giveaway contests (I'm not even sure there will any be so don't ask me about them).
6. DON'T PESTER ME. If you ask me, even once, if you won a prize, your entry will be disqualified and I will not accept any entries from you in any of my future personal giveaway contests (I'm not even sure there will be any so don't ask me about them). This includes asking me via Twitter, FaceBook, or smoke signals.
7. I will announce the winners by Noon on Saturday, February 13. That's NOON EASTERN TIME.
8. If you don't meet me in-game to claim your prize by noon on Friday, February 17, no prize will be awarded.
9. I will have to "friend" you to award in-game prizes.
10. If you port into me without asking first, ever, even once, after I put you on my friend list, I will immediately put you on ignore and remove you from my friend list. FOREVER.
11. This contest is my idea and it is not the responsibility of Fallon ShadowBlade, creator if Diary of a Wizard and Diary of a Wizard Connect X. As such, please respect how busy she is and do not pester her with questions about the contest.
12. Most of you know who my good pals are in the game, they are my friends IRL for the most part too. Don't pester them with questions about the contest.
13. ONE ENTRY PER MEMBER OF DIARY OF A WIZARD CONNECT X.

Here are the prizes:

One (1) Goldenbeak Sword code for one (1) lucky winner. This will be passed along to you via the messaging system that is part of Diary of Wizard ConnectX. If you'd like to become my friend in game I will arrange that also. This will NOT be via True Friend Code. See the "Porting Without Asking" clause in Rule #10 above.
Four (4) Remarkable Reagents packs, one for each of four (4) lucky winners. That's one per person for four people. No, you cannot ask for a Marvelous Minions or Eye of Bartleby pack instead. If you don't want Remarkable Reagents, don't enter the contest. If you ask for a different prize, I will disqualify you and randomly pick another person instead. As mentioned above, we will have to be friends in-game for me to award the Remarkable Reagent prizes. I will NOT send out True Friend Codes. We will meet in the Ice School classroom (not the tower) in an Area and Realm which will be sent to you via the via the messaging system that is part of Diary of Wizard ConnectX. See the "Porting Without Asking" clause in Rule #10 above.
The reason for awarding Remarkable Reagents is that I am trying to get more people interested in Crafting, or help people along with their crafting projects.

And I totally second the bit about porting. I wish more people understood that I'm not the one being rude by requesting my friends to refrain (or turning off the port option)

Comment by Christina IceDreamer on February 11, 2010 at 10:19pm: So everyone who is wondering about why I am so persnickety about porting without asking ... my main problem with this is that I really like to quest and loot with my BFF IRL. And when people just port into me - especially a lot of people at once or people porting into them after their friend has ported to me - sometimes she gets squeezed out of a battle. I shouldn't have to keep my port off all the time just to make sure my best friend is not shut out of a battle we have planned for. This is major Spiral Aggro. And truthfully, it's just nice to ask first. When people are fighting in MooShu and DragonSpyre, it's just downright inconsiderate not to ask first.
